 The Barefield Céilí Band comprises of young
musicians from the Barefield area just north of Ennis in Co. Clare, Ireland. They went to school together and were taught by Dennis Liddy who started them all on Tin Whistles at the age of
eight. Now, they are still together and enjoying the music more than ever. This is their second CD, having recorded "Iolar" in 1999. They have won a
few All-Irelands in '98, 2000 and 2001. Many of the group have travelled extensively in recent times. The band played at the CCE North American
convention in Toronto, Canada in 2001. We then played a 17 concert tour of Connecticut and New York, where we played for Harry Conick jnr. They played at the Voiron Festival in
the South of France, Clare/Manchester Festival in the UK and also in Korea, The Philipines,
Shanghai, Germany and Switzerland. We are delighted to launch our CD at the Jimena Festival in Spain. Next year the Band will play at the famous Milwaukee Irish Fest in the USA.
