Becky Taylor Biography

Becky is one of the few female Irish pipers in England today and has built up a considerable reputation as a solo performer during a career that has seen her perform extensively at folk festivals and events in the UK and Europe. Becky has been performing in public for twenty years and was a finalist in the BBC Young Tradition awards for several years. During that time she has appeared with a wide range of leading figures in the folk world. She appeared alongside the highly respected Chieftains on their album, A Chieftains' Celebration, after a series of performances with them in Dublin as part of the city's millennium celebrations.

Becky also toured with the well-known Suns of Arqa (combining Uilliann pipes with sitars and dub reggae rhythms!) and performed with them on a Radio 1 sessions as well as performing with Lindisfarne and appearing on numerous occasions with the exotically titled Krampouez Lipous Orchestra from Brittany.
