Emerging as one of the most exciting and traditional young
bands of recent years, téada (meaning strings in the Irish language) saw their recent débût album go to No.1 in the music charts at Ireland's largest Irish music store during April
2002. Having appeared on the innovative Irish television series, Flosc, téada went on to undertake highly successful tours of the United States, Finland and Germany throughout 2001/
2002. A lengthy promotional tour of the US took place during June 2002, involving headline performances at the Potomac Celtic Festival, VA and in many major cities
including New York, Boston, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco and Los Angeles. February 2003 sees téada embark upon a further extensive
tour of the US, which will be followed by a 3-week tour of Austria, Italy and Slovenia in March. téada's fresh blend of instrumentals and vocals has played a pivotal role in earning
the band a growing reputation for live performance with both national and, increasingly, international audiences
